Provincial Advisory Group

The Provincial Advisory Group (PAG) serves as an advisory committee to the Learning Network. The PAG is made up of dynamic leaders from organizations across Ontario with mandates to end gender-based violence.

PAG members provide expertise to the Learning Network on research, practice, and prevention across the continuum of gender-based violence. They also offer unique knowledge on principles of diversity, equity, and accessibility.

The PAG serves as an opportunity to further increase the collective effectiveness and reach of education and training materials addressing gender-based violence in Ontario and beyond.

Member: Marie-Pascale Lafrenière

Action ontarienne contre la violence faite aux femmes (AOcVF) is an Ontario-wide federation of francophone feminist organizations working to eliminate violence against women. AOcVF has a mandate to work to prevent violence, provide ongoing training for workers, set directions and take the initiative to establish French-language services, and analyse issues and produce education and awareness materials in French.

Elder Abuse Prevention Ontario is a provincial, charitable, non-profit organization focused on supporting the implementation of The Ontario Strategy to Combat Elder Abuse. They focus on service coordination and building local capacity of front-line workers, caregivers, and community networks by providing public education and training to professionals/service providers and families of seniors to raise awareness around elder abuse issues.

Luke’s Place is devoted to improving the safety and experience of abused women and their children as they proceed through the family law process. It provides direct services to women in Durham Region and systemic programs across the province that address the intersection of gender-based violence and family law.

The Ontario Association of Interval & Transition Houses (OAITH) is a coalition of first stage emergency shelters, 2nd stage housing organizations, and community-based women organizations who work towards ending violence against all women. They achieve this through training, education, advocacy, public awareness, and government relations.

The Ontario Coalition of Rape Crisis Centres (OCRCC) is a network of sexual assault centres across Ontario. They represent 29 English-language sexual assault centres. Their membership includes sexual assault centres from across Ontario that offer counselling, information, and support services to survivors of sexual violence, including childhood sexual abuse and incest.

The Ontario Network of Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Treatment Centres was established by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care in 1993 to provide leadership and support to 36 hospital-based sexual assault and domestic violence treatment centres across Ontario. Their goal is to provide victims/survivors of sexual violence and domestic violence with comprehensive, quality care and support.
